Your digestion shouldn’t feel like it’s dictating your life.
If recurring digestive symptoms are limiting what you eat, where you go, or how freely you live, I can help you make sense of what’s going on and develop a clear path to feeling better.
My goal is to help you spend less time thinking about your digestion and more time enjoying your life.

Sometimes it can seem like everyone else simply eats, makes plans, and gets on with their day . . .
But you're constantly having to think about your digestion.
It’s frustrating.
And you may find yourself thinking . . .

Where is the
closest bathroom?
Will this trigger
my symptoms?
Maybe I should
just stay home . . .
Why am I
bloated again ?
Can I eat this?
What if I don't
feel well?
It can feel like you've tried everything . . . but you're still organizing life around your digestion.
And after a while, the hardest part isn't only the symptoms. It's the uncertainty.
Is stress or my nervous system involved?
What should I be doing?
Do I need more testing?
Which foods are truly problematic?
What's actually causing this?
Will I ever get better?

You need to know what's
actually worth doing next.
Digestive symptoms can have many possible contributors like food, infections, probiotics, stress, etc. The question is which contributors are most relevant to you and worth pursuing.
Understand the whole situation, make sense of what matters, and build a plan from there.
I start by understanding your symptoms in the context of your health history, previous testing and treatment, lifestyle, and the other factors that may be relevant. Then I connect the pieces, explain what I think is going on, and determine what's actually worth pursuing.

My goal is to give you a clearer understanding of your health and a focused path forward, not more things to investigate or more treatments to try.

A treatment plan built around clear priorities.
Once we have a clearer picture of what may be contributing to your symptoms, we can decide what makes the most sense to address first.
Depending on your needs, treatment may involve nutrition, supplements, lifestyle changes, homeopathy, herbal medicines, strategies related to stress or nervous-system function, or coordination with another healthcare provider.
If something your gastroenterologist or another provider recommended makes sense, we can work with it. I don’t believe good care needs to be replaced simply because you’re also considering natural options.
Every recommendation earns its place in your treatment plan. Rather than giving you a long list of things to do at once, I want you to understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how we’ll know if it’s helping. At each follow-up, we’ll re-evaluate your symptoms.

Digestive concerns I commonly work with:
Some people come in with a diagnosis they’ve been managing for years. Others are dealing with recurring symptoms with no clear explanation or treatment approach that has helped enough. And sometimes people are experiencing digestive symptoms for the first time. People commonly seek care for:
-
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
-
Integrative support for Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
-
Recurring bloating or excessive gas
-
Reflux or GERD
-
Constipation, diarrhea, or alternating bowel habits
-
Persistent abdominal discomfort
-
Indigestion, early fullness, or other upper digestive symptoms
-
Digestive changes that persist after an infection or course of antibiotics
-
Symptoms that seem connected to certain foods
-
Digestive symptoms that continue despite previous testing or treatmen

My Personal Story with IBS

My interest in digestive health began long before medical school, with my own experience of IBS. As a child, I went through periods where I experienced digestive symptoms that were both physically uncomfortable and emotionally overwhelming. I remember having to go to the bathroom as soon as I finished eating dinner with my family, where I sometimes experienced extremely painful abdominal cramps and loose stools. I remember running inside after eating at our family BBQs because my stomach hurt and I had to urgently disappear.
Over time, I began noticing connections between my digestion, diet, lifestyle, environment, and emotional well-being. Those experiences helped shape the way I think about health and are part of why digestive medicine is so important to me today.
I don’t assume your story is the same as mine, but I do understand how much digestive symptoms can affect not only how you feel, but how you eat, plan, and live your life. I also understand the relief that can come from finally making sense of what’s happening, having a provider you trust, and feeling confident that what you’re doing for your health makes sense.
